A general dentist with over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Montoya was born and raised in Miami and attended Our Lady of Lourdes Academy. She received her B.S. in Biology from FIU and her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Boston University in 1998 graduating Cum Laude. While in dental school, she received the Department of Restorative Science Award for Outstanding Performance in Operative Dentistry, the Altshuler Family Student Award for high ethical standards, and was elected to membership in the Honorary Dental Society, Omicron Kappa Epsilon. Upon graduating at the top of her class, Dr. Montoya completed a general practice residency program at the Miami Veterans Hospital.
Outside of work, Dr. Montoya stays active playing beach volleyball, exercising and riding motorcycles with her husband. Her interests also include photography, traveling, and dining at new, local restaurants. Dr. Montoya also loves walking or swimming with her dogs, Cappuccino and Max.
With a strong passion to learn dentistry’s latest advances, she continues her post-graduate education by regularly attending new courses and seminars. Her philosophy is simple: she treats her patients as she would like to be treated herself. Communicating all options available is a foundation of the care, the service and the time she provides to each patient. By tailoring treatment to each patient’s individual needs, she wants them to discover the joy and confidence a healthy, beautiful smile can bring.
